You may start your final project today, but all projects are due by the end of the semester on Wednesday, December 22, no later than 5:00 p.m.  Please plot them 8 1/2" x 11" either in black and white on the printer in room AT135, or in color on the plotter in Room AT150C. Also, please keep your files in your folder on the M: drive for my examination. The following projects must be turned in:

Tabsurf (curtain)
Rulesurf (eyebrow window)
Revsurf (greenhouse rendering)
Revsurf (chesspieces)
Edgesurf (spiderwebs)
3dface (house)
Regions (house)
Template exercise

Profile exercise
Rendering (house with lights and materials)
The final project will be the 3d construction and rendering of a house.

You will complete two exterior perspective views of the house using Architectural Desktop and render them in AutoCAD. You will be given a AutoCAD file of a site plan, first and second floor plans, and elevations of the house.  You will need to erect the walls around the floor plan, construct the garage, put floors in, provide window openings (using holes cut into solids for walls), furnish the interior with standard furnishings, which will be visible through the windows, provide a sun and interior lighting, textured the exterior wall and paving surfaces, put in entourage (people, cars, shrubs and trees), set up two or more perspective views, and render each view at time and place settings 10:00 a.m. on June 1, and 2:00 p.m. on September 20, in Chicago.

You will also create two perspective views of the interior spaces of the house.  You will create two rooms on the interior from the floor plan, the living room and kitchen, furnish them, add details, surface materials, interior lighting, and render. Output will be 8 ½" x 11" color printed drawings.  The rooms will be detailed as follows:

The living room will have a fireplace, baseboard, fancy crown molding, chairs, sofa, coffee table, wallpaper on walls, a painting of the Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci on the wall, floor lighting, table lighting, a Persian rug on the floor, and at least two people, one standing and one seated.  There should be a fire roaring in the fireplace.  Through the windows you should see a blue sky with clouds.
The kitchen will have wood cabinets, a refrigerator, stove, ovens, sink (all in 3d, of course), tile floor, and one person.  Color of interior is part of your design.
