Job Summary:
Provides general support to end-users within the many different organizations associated with Plote Construction. Locations include 2 Golf Courses, 8 asphalt plants/quarries, 9 Field Offices, Main Office, and various users in the field on broadband cards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Gathers relevant information and logs events, provides initial problem identification by telephone.
2. Searches the knowledge base to propose solutions for common problems.
3. Employs and coordinates subject matter experts to resolve problems and escalate issue to management as appropriate.
4. Tracks ongoing status of all issues and communicates resolutions to users. Logs resolution status and results in Help Desk database.
5. Coordinates among MIS groups and the rest of the organization in resolving issues for the customer.
6. Documents solutions and workarounds for presentation to other staff.
7. Makes recommendations to initiate or change a process within MIS.
8. Consistently answers calls in a timely fashion and confers with MIS staff to answer questions and expand knowledge of the UAI systems.
9. Creates daily/weekly/monthly reports and documentation on a regular or as-needed basis.
10. Must be able to drive site to site daily. (with own car)
Job Requirements:
Some college coursework in computer science or management information systems. Proficient with windows desktop administration (Vista/XP). Excellent desktop trouble-shooting experience in MS Office Suite. Strong knowledge of standard PC configurations, laptops, and networked printers. Strong communication, problem –solving, power user and customer service skills. Must be able to work independently or in a team environment.
$12/Hour
