Oak Park, Illinois, located just ten miles west of downtown Chicago, is a living museum of American Architecture of the 19th and 20th century, with many examples of houses representing the Italianate, Queen Anne and Prairie Style. The village contains more buildings of national and international significance per capita than any other community in the U.S. (Many of these can be virews on the Blading Tour of the Historic District of Oak Park.
Oak Park Pleasant Home is located in the Ridgeland-Oak Park Historic District and is within easy walking distance of the Frank Lloyd Wright Prairie School of Architecture National Historic District which contains a dazzling array of 25 structures designed by Wright, including his Home & Studio and Unity Temple. It is also on the free Oak Park shuttle bus line Pleasant Home
