proportional study of a table

You have been asked by your friend who lives in the warm and friendly but small apartment to design a dining room table that will seat 10 people comfortably, but cozily. The table is to be located in a room that is 14' 0" x 14' 0". Show ten chairs to go with the table, pushed under the table. Show the room in which the table will be located, with one wall and ceiling removed. Shape and size of the table is the object of this study.

Produce a perspective drawing using AutoCAD with one carefully considered perspective view plotted on a 18” x 24" "C size" sheet, glued to a 15” wide x 20" high FoamCore board, with a red Crescent Board mask at least 1” wide (exact width will need to be studied in proportion to the drawing, also). Insert one human figure in the perspective scene, carefully located to enhance the beauty of the proportions. Use one of the 3d figures available on the “M:” drive.

As a bonus, you may color the plotted perspective drawing using Prismacolor pencils in controlled 45 degree angle scribble technique method of shading. Use at least three colors, balanced in hue and intensity, with gradual value change.

Title shall be “Table Study,” placed at the bottom of the drawing. Also put your name, the date, the course name and the critic’s name centered on the bottom of the drawing. Titles should be made using Word lettering, just the right size, and placed within a rectangular or square opening in the red mask.
