Interim Chemistry Courses at Triton (New)

General Chemistry I & II (2-semester sequence) during May 17–July 27, 2005

We would highly appreciate if you would kindly share our goal of providing your students an alternative fast-track scheduling to meet General Chemistry I (CHM 140-101) and General Chemistry II (CHM 141-201) course requirements.

We, at Triton College, are pleased to offer, for the first time, Interim General Chemistry I and II sequence courses during May 17, 2005 to July 27, 2005. Experienced faculty and staff in the science department at Triton have worked hard to put together this exciting opportunity for the fastest route to complete General Chemistry I and II requirements. This schedule is particularly aimed at the students from other 2-year and 4-year colleges and universities to learn fast, learn smart, and strategize their intended mission for transfer schools and professional education and/or career.

This thoughtful and credible offering is particularly intended to give accelerated educational experience which is aligned with the Triton’s goals and objectives for providing cost-effective alternative scheduling to Triton and neighboring communities. Interim courses offer experiences otherwise unavailable to students during the remainder of the academic year, and emphasize active learning, participatory pedagogy, and engagement in the real world.

These courses are not merely condensed versions of courses normally taught in fall or spring; instead, they enrich the major programs, forge and refine time management skills and promote students’ strategizing of efficient and effective and effective learning techniques. It also meets our ongoing goal to stimulate student interest in the love of learning, rapidly advance their professional skills, and prepare them to be responsible learners and citizens.
