Sandra Berryhill has been a counselor at Triton College since May 1999. She completed an Associate in Arts degree at Triton College. Then, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from Mundelein College. Later, she earned a Master of Science Degree in Human Services counseling from Illinois State University.
College Involvement:
- Developed and teach online Career and Life Planning course
- Assist with New Student Orientation
- Awarded “Illinois Violence Prevention” grant for a Lego Robotics Workshop Summer 2009 for Triton Community school age children, it was a Collaborative effort with Engineer Technology coordinator and the Proviso Math and Science Academy Robotics’ Team
- Teach Being Successful in College
- Conduct Workshops: Career Exploration, Courses and Careers: Making the Right Choices, Time Management and Success Strategies
- Co-coordinator for the African American Women’s Support Group (AAWSG)
- Black Heritage Council (BHC) member
Community Involvement:
- Community Renewal Chorus and All God's Children (CRC and AGC)
- Maywood Youth Mentoring Program (MYMP)
- West Suburban Mother’s of Multiples (WSMOMS)
Future Goals:
- Develop an African American Women’s Student network Club
- Increase student retention and networking opportunities for students
- Establish stronger links from Triton to communities we serve
