NOTE, THE ABOVE PROBLEMS
ARE NOT TO BE TURNED IN. HOWEVER
YOU WILL LIKELY FIND THAT YOU WILL DO POORLY IN THE CLASS IF YOU DO NOT DO THE
SUGGESTED PROBLEMS. THE ANSWERS TO SOME
OF THESE ARE AT THE BACK OF THE BOOK.
ALL THE ANSWERS CAN BE FOUND ON WEBCT.
Formula Sheets
As we will discuss in class,
I will hand out formula sheets to be used on all exams. It is important to realize however, that the
formula sheet does NOT contain everything.
Theorems, definitions, etc. are not on the formula sheet and need to be
memorized. However, for almost all of
the calculations we do in the class that involve a formula, you will find the
formula on the formula sheet.
Signing on to Webct:
You will find the syllabus,
the solutions to all problems in the book, and review sheets for all exams
online in webct. In order to access
webct, go to the following web site:
This will take you to the
webct sign in screen, and ask you for your username and password. Your username is your first and last name,
all small letters, no spaces, exactly as you are registered here at
Triton. Your password is the first
letter of your first name, the first 3 letters of your last name, and the last
4 digits of your social security number, again no spaces and small letters.
