Welcome to Civil War Emphasis: History 151-072 & Rhetoric 102-072
Undergraduate Center SPRING 2008 Online Courses

Allen Salzman
Welcome to History 151 and Rhetoric 102, Civil War Emphasis. The two courses are regular, I.A.I. transferable courses that you could take as ordinary separate classes on Triton's campus if you wanted to without the special emphasis. They are no harder and no easier !

But there are two exciting differences which make them special:

1) These are NET classes. They are both taught almost totally online.     [There will be 3-5 brief on-campus writing workshops held, with snacks provided.]

2) They are taught together in "interdisciplinary" combination because they share a common theme, which is the study of the American Civil War era.

The two courses will explore the sometimes amazing events and changes which have challenged this nation by looking at the historical record and by learning the process by which you create a decent written composition. This way you can give a "voice" to your understanding of history.

Note: you cannot take just one of the courses by itself. You must enroll in both. Come to Triton's campus, B-100 in the COLLEGE CENTER to register.
