Licensing Process in Illinois
Complete required number of Training Units in each Training Area, depending on what degree you have:
- One TU = 8 hours of work
- You will need to complete 700 TUs with an accredited B. Arch. or M. Arch. degree (about 2 1/2 years)
- Or, you will need to complete 1170 TUs with an Illinois-approved pre-professional architectural degree (about 4 1/2 years)
